Goodbye Blog World

I am sad to say that I have decided not to pursue blogging anymore. Once again I have run out of space and I must buy more space or create another blog if I want to continue. I decided to choose to do neither. This was a tough decision because I have so enjoyed posting for you. Thank you to my faithful followers who kept up with my little stories and pictures.

If you want to ever drop me a line you can always email me at Kristen_Williams28@hotmail.com  or call or text or drop by my house...etc.  : )  You can also catch me on Facebook. Shoot me an email if you need help finding me on there. I also send out monthly emails of pictures of Logan. If you are not already included in my contact list, send me an email so I can include you with my monthly updates.

If I get enough emails from people complaining about my decision not to blog...it just may convince me to create a new account.  : ) 

If not I will just let it go once and for all.

A picture of your favorite day.

1-28-06 is my favorite day. The day I met Jack, my life was complete. However, our wedding day put the icing on the cake. I felt like the most blessed girl in the world the day I married my best friend. He makes me feel like a princess every single day.

A picture of something you wish you could change.

Something I wish I could change would be that my husband could be home a lot more than he currently is. Jack is on the Coast Guard boat called the Sea Horse. They do security and escorts for Navy vessels, aircraft carriers, submarines, etc. The picture posted above is the Sea Horse doing a sub escort. I am counting down the days until Jack is all done with this boat. It has been a good experience for him. However, I am looking forward to the days when he is home more. He is worth the wait! : ) Jack will be XPO of the CG cutter, Kennebec in about 3 weeks. This means he will be Chief and second in charge of that cutter. He has worked very hard to get to where he is and I am so very proud of Jack.

I am not going to sell myself short. I can cook most things. However, I am no Paula Deen. lol. I wish I could cook and bake a lot better! It is true...a way to a man's heart is through his stomach. It is a good thing Jack already loved me a whole lot when we first got married. My cooking really stunk then. I have progressivley gotten better and better! : )

Day 21

A picture of your favorite night.

Once again this was a tough one to answer. I have had many great nights that I will always remember. However, the night of 9-10-09 tops the charts in my book. The night Logan was born was a night I will never forget as long as I live. I went into labor on 9-9-09 around 3:30 pm. Logan came into this world at 3:00 am on 9-10-09. This is my favorite picture from the night Logan was born. I do not know why it is blurry, the original is clear. Anyway, this is by far one of my favorite nights.

Beautiful spring day today! Even our two pups enjoyed play time outside. Usually they are very spoiled and just want to stay in the house. As you can see I walked around barefoot today! It is one of my favorite things to do! I sure did miss Jack today. He was working hard for his family, of course. I am so thankful for my loving and supportive husband.

By the way....that is not a wart or a mole or whatever you think it is on my big right toe....It is just where I stubbed my toe today! : ) Just sayin.

busy & beautiful day

It was such a nice day yesterday...busy but nice. We took Logan to one of our favorite parks, Sleepy Hole. The sunshine was great and Logan had so much fun running around. We then ran some errands in Chesapeake. We also went to our friends house to visit with their family from Canada. Logan had fun with his new friends, Emma and Carter. I left my camera at home so I do not have any pictures to share. However, our friends took some pictures so maybe I will be able to show you some later. We went back home to play outside some more. Logan's buddy, Landon shows up at our house with his mommy and daddy. When the day was done I had one tired boy on my hands (Jack) : ) ...on the other hand, Logan was my energizer bunny....hehehehe.

My little buddy is taking a nap right now. Hopefully he wakes up soon so we can take advantage of this gorgeous weather today too. I've heard tomorrow is supposed to be cold. I guess I will save tomorrow for a shopping day! : )

For our honeymoon we went to the beautiful Dominican Republic. I loved our time there and hope to one day go back. I would settle to travel anywhere tropical. However, for sake of the question I choose Aruba.

Day 18

A picture of your biggest insecurity.

I LOVE the SUN. However, I am insecure about the effects the sun has on my skin. I have been going to the beach for as long as I can remember. I can recall long days at the beach where I would literally bake in the sun with no sunscreen at all....just oil! Goodness gracious...the sun has done a number on my skin and I will probally pay for it later in life. This is a picture I took while Logan and I were playing in the yard today.

Speaking of sunshine....we really enjoyed being out in the pretty weather today.

Day 17

A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently.

I can not say that anything really has made a huge impact on me in the past few days or weeks. I can say that almost 19 months ago the birth of our son made a huge impact on my life. One can not even begin to imagine how your life will be different before you have a baby. You can only understand through the experience itself. Kids are a lot of work but they change your life for the better without a shadow of a doubt. I can not imagine my life without my son in it. He is the light of my life and such a precious gift from God. He has made the hugest impact on my life for many different reasons. Logan is such a blessing to Jack and I. The picture posted above is Logan 3 days old. We were leaving the hospital to take him home for the first time. I can not believe he was ever this small.

Day 16

A picture of someone who inspires you.

Logan Michael inspires me everyday. He makes me want to be the best I can be. I am not perfect by no means but I try my best everyday to make sure my little guy is taken care of. He deserves the best and I love him to the moon and back.

If Logan's paci is not in his mouth...you can bet his fingers will be. Logan is getting some more teeth in so he is constantly chewing on his itty bitty fingers. Poor little guy. I would much rather deal with "growing pains" then heartbreaks that he will have later in life. Right now I can kiss his boo boos away.  : )

Speech Therapy Update:

Logan's speech therapy at Portsmouth Naval was denied because they have reached their maximum amount of patients that they see. I have been calling around to suvillian speech therapists and the waitlist is unbelievable! I contacted a company today and things seem good with them. I am to be contacted within another week to set up an appointment. The good thing is they actually come evaluate right at your house! That is a HUGE plus for Logan. I feel like in his own environment he will do much better. I will update you as soon as things get rolling with that.

This is definitley random but I have a facination for sharks. Especially great white sharks. I have never seen one in person. However, I would love to get in a cage and see one up close before I die. I think that it would be awesome. I will be frightened to death and probally have an anxiety attack if I ever really attempted this....but it would be worth it! I can see my friend Danielle reading this right now and laughing at me. hahahaha...I am actually laughing right now thinking of her laughing at me. Never in a million years would anyone ever guess that I would choose this as the answer to this question. : )

I know I could only choose one picture but I had to choose two people for this question. Logan and Jack are my heart and soul. I would not want to think for even a second they were not sharing my life with me.

Everyone knows that Logan has had issues sleeping in his crib. He has been sleeping with Jack and I for a while now. We finally decided to turn his crib into the toddler bed the other day. I put Logan down today for a nap in his big boy bed. He got in and out of the bed several times. I thought that was a good sign. Usually when I put him in the crib he would throw a BIG fit. It took him a little while to go down but he finally did! First nap a success in the toddler bed. He slept for about an hour and I was so HAPPY!

Jack and I had a nice date in Williamsburg the other day. My parents had a good time with Logan too! I am sorry that I do not have many pictures from our date. We just really enjoyed each others company. Honestly, I really did not think too much of taking pictures, we were having fun! We took the ferry into Williamsburg. I love that! Just check out the Yankee Candle store in Williamsburg. It is HUGE and we LOVE it!

Sweet Spinach Salad

Dressing Mix

3 TBSP Orange Juice
2 TBSP Sugar
2 TBSP Cider Vinager
1 1/2 tsp Chopped Onion (I use minced onions)
1/4 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Poppy Seeds
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil

Mix all ingredients in a blender (I put in a container and shake)

Salad Mix

15 oz. Drained Manderin Oranges (I use more...2 15 oz.cans)
1 Bag Spinach
1/3 Cup Toasted Slivered Almonds (toast in oven at 350 for about 2-5 minutes)

Do not put the dressing on the whole salad as it makes the spinach whilted.



I have to admit, the first time I had this salad/dressing I was not a big fan of it. This is one of those that grew on me the second time I ate it. YUM! I really do like it. This is a great recipie for summer! : ) I can not seem to eat enough of this lately!

This was a tough one because I like a lot of songs. Also most of my music time consists of Logan's music that he likes. However, I really do love Lady Antebellum. American Honey is one of my favorite songs. I think this is a great group!

This goes without question or hesitation.....I am in love with my man and I love my little boy. We are like peas and dumplings together.  : ) . "God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you." ~Rascal Flats. I am so blessed to have both of these guys in my life. He loves me for me and I trust him with my whole heart.  Logan is my heart and soul.

Jack and I had a nice date in Williamsburg yesterday. Logan had so much fun with his Mommom Joy and Poppop Michael. We appreciate my parents coming down so Jack and I could enjoy some much needed time alone together. : ) I hope everyone's weekend was fabulous!

Hate is such a strong word. I do not like to say that I hate anything. However, I do not like ignorance. The kind of ignorance I am talking about springs from people that are unkind, selfish, disrespectful...etc.  I do feel like are still a lot of good people left out there but there are still those that would love to break your spirit down and see you crumble. I do not have any room in my life for people like this.

Ok. I am done. I really do not like to post downer posts such as this. However, this question was part of my picture challenge and I am determined to stick to it!

I have been cleaning away today! My parents are coming in town tomorrow to take care of Logan. Jack and I are going on a date all day and for a good part of the night. I am EXCITED! I will take my camera along of course...maybe I will get a few good pictures to share with you.

Mini Star

I have been sending in pictures of Logan to Live with Regis ad Kelly for over a year now. I did this in hopes that they would show it at the end of their show during their inbox segement. Jack and I were actually eatching Regis and Kelly this morning before he went to work. However, we turned it off about halfway through. BIG MISTAKE! My friend, Catherine calls me and said, "I just saw Logan's picture on Regis and Kelly!" Well I could not believe that I missed it. They are supposedly going to post it on their website tomorrow and I will post the link in a post. I am so excited over this!

Whenever I want to get a few pictures of Logan he always runs away from me. I can not really blame him. However, one day he and his future wife will appreciate these pictures. I know I do. I love pictures of my baby boy. It is such a nice day today I took Logan to a little field nearby so he could run around. I took him shopping too for a few spring things. I do not know about you but I am tired! I know I really can not complain because I am a stay-at-home mom but.....I get tired too! I think it is time for a nap.
